Shirin urges civil servants to work for public welfare

BSS

Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury yesterday urged the civil servants to devote themselves for the welfare of the common people with the spirit of Liberation War, reports BSS.  “The civil service officials make bond between the common people and the politicians. I urge all of you to devote yourselves for the welfare of the common people with the spirit of Liberation War,” she said, speaking at the inaugural session of the training of 107th, 108th and 109th batches of Law and Admin courses at the BCS Admin Academy here. State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadek and Secretary of the ministry Foyez Ahmed addressed the inaugural session with BCS Admin Academy Rector Md Mosharraf Hossain in the chair.

Shirin urged all to work in unison to make a discrimination-free Bangladesh by upholding the constitution given by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1972.

She said Bangladesh is moving forward under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the country has turned into a developing nation from least developed status.

Bangladesh would turn into a developed nation within 2041, she added. Later, the JS speaker visited Muktijoddha Corner of the BCS Admin Academy library.
