Babu still happy with long-awaited achievement
The actor was looking forward to be awarded for Oggatonama

National Film Award winning actor Fazlur Rahman Babu, known for his brilliant acting and singing, has again won the prestigious National Film Award for the second time in his career. DhakaLive has news that in the National Film Award 2016, the talented actor has been awarded for his brilliant performance in the film titled, Meyeti Ekhon Kothay Jabe, directed by Nader Chowdhury.
However, Fazlur Rahman Babu has told DhakaLive that, although he is happy with his achievement, he said that he would have been happier if he was awarded for his role in Tauquir Ahmeds film Oggatonama.
Fazlur Rahman Babu said, I am going to be awarded the National Film Award once again, which is giving me both pride and happiness. However, I would have been happier if I was awarded for my performance in Tauquir Ahmeds film Oggatonama.
As I have got a huge positive response from the audience both within the country and abroad, I was hoping that, this time, I will be awarded for Oggatonama. But that did not happen.
Still, I have been selected for the film Meyeti Ekhon Kothay Jabe, for which I am grateful to the organizers and also to my audience, he added.
Currently, the actor is busy shooting in Manikganj for a 13-episode drama serial, Roudro Chayar Khela, directed by Giasuddin Selim.
The actor earlier earned admiration for his performance in the films Swapnojal and Monpura, directed Giasuddin Selim.
Fazlur Rahman Babu was awarded his first National Film Award for his performance in the film Shankhonad, directed by Abu Sayeed. l
