Popy, Amin Khan to perform together for first time

National Film Award-winning actress Sadika Parvin Popy and popular actor Amin Khan have always been seen as an admirable duo on the big screen. However, for the first time, the artistes are going to perform together live on stage at the upcoming prize distribution ceremony of ‘National Film Award 2016’ on coming Sunday.

DhakaLive has news that although both of the artistes performed separately in the award ceremony of National Film Award, but they never performed together on the stage.

Currently, the artistes are taking part in the rehearsal together every day on the premises of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) in the capital.

Amin Khan said, “Popy and I appeared in a number of audience-admired films, but we never appeared on the stage together. Now it is an honour for me that we will be performing in the National Film Award ceremony, which will be attended by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.”

Popy said, “I have always given top priority to performing at the National Film Award ceremony as a film artiste and I performed in it before. The audience watched Amin Khan and me appearing together in the film. Even, we are currently working in a film titled ‘Sahosi Joddha’ right now. On the whole, I am really feeling great that we are going to perform together on stage. I thank all the organizers for giving us this opportunity. I hope the performance will be enjoyable to all.”

To note, the ceremony of ‘National Film Award 2016’ will take place on July 8 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Agargaon of the capital.
