Inu urges teachers to give time to decide on pay structure

BSS

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President and Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu yesterday called upon the teachers to continue normal academic activities in educational institution giving the government time to examine their proposal over new pay scale, reports BSS. He made the call while talking to journalists before addressing a discussion meeting marking the 100th death anniversary of anti-British movement hero Bagha Jateen at Kushtia District Council auditorium. The teachers should give time to examine their proposal, the minister said, adding that it is not right to boycott classes before that. Replying to a question on the comments of some Awami League leaders on JSD, Hasanul Haq Inu said the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal forged alliance with Awami League to eliminate militancy. Those who are involved in creating JSD-Awami League conflicts are actually strengthening the hands of Khaleda Zia, he added. Presided over by Kushtia Acting Deputy Commissioner Anarkali Mahbuba, the discussion on Bagha Jateen was also addressed by Kushtia District Council Chief Executive Officer AKM Rahatul Islam, Police Super Prolaya Chishim and district JSD President Golam Mohsin.
