PM off to Canada to join G-7’s outreach session

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Dhaka yesterday evening on a four-day official visit to Canada to attend the Outreach Leaders Programme of the G7, the group of seven countries with advanced economies in the world, reports UNB.

On her way to Toronto, the Prime Minister will make a stopover in Dubai for five hours.  The flight carrying her is scheduled to reach Toronto Pearson International Airporton Friday 9:30am (local time). Then, she will go to Quebec City by a flight of Air Canada.  Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invited 12 world leaders, including Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, to take part in a special outreach session of the G7 Summit.  The G7 consists of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.  During her visit, Sheikh Hasina will join the outreach session at Quebec City in Canada on June 09.  On June 10, she will hold a bilateral meeting with her Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau in Quebec in the morning and join a views-exchange with Bangladesh expatriates in Toronto in the evening.
