Three female photographers’ exhibition ‘Self and the Others’ begins

A two month long photographic exhibition titled ‘Self and the Others’ by three young talented female photographers of Bangladesh has begun at the Radisson  Blue Water Garden Hotel.

To observe International Women’s Day, Drik in cooperation with Radisson Blue Water Garden Hotel has organised the exhibition, curated by ASM Rezaur Rahman and participated by Aungmakhai Chak, Farhana Satu and Salma Abedin Prithi.

The exhibition features Aungmakhai Chak, who examined her indigenous identity in this changing world through her work ‘Harmony’. She projected her existing lifestyle, which is a fusion of cultures having an indigenous root.

Farhana Satu took an attempt to surprise the kids through her work ‘Leukaemia Fighters’. Her photo-story is a visualisation based on the dream of a group of children in Bangladesh who were affected by acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

Salma Abedin Prithi in her work ‘Translucence’ invited people from diverse backgrounds into her studio, allowing them to act upon intimacy or separation; following which she captured the real and unreal moments created by them.

Beginning from March 8, the exhibition will be available for viewing for next two months at Radisson.

Address: Radisson, Airport Road
