A total of 1,010 Qawmi madrasa graduates yesterday joined government service for the first time as the Qawmi madrasa certificates were given the government recognition. Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Religious Affairs Bajlul Haque, MP attended the three-day orientation workshop for the newly appointed teachers at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque premises in the capital yesterday.

The Qawmi graduates joined Mosque-based children and mass education activities (6th phase) as teachers. Recruitment of another 1,010 graduates (ulema) is under process as the written and viva exams have already been completed, said a press release issued by Islamic Foundation Bangladesh.
