Housewife attempts suicide

A housewife tried to commit suicide by pouring kerosene on herself at Sauthkhali village in Sharankhola upazila yesterday morning, reports UNB. The victim is Kamala Begum alias Nuri, 20, wife of Motaleb Hawladar of Bakultala village of the upazila and daughter of Paschim Rajapur village of the same upazila. Md Alamin Khalifa, victim's brother, told UNB that Kamala had a love affair with Motaleb. Later they got married around one and half years back. But, they did not know that Motaleb have another wife and a son, he said. Motaleb used to torture Nuri for dowry.
