Independence Day programmes in Rangpur

RANGPUR: The district administration at a meeting here on Thursday adopted an elaborate programme to celebrate the Independence and National Day 2018 on March 26, reports BSS. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Wahiduzzaman presided over the meeting in his conference room. Freedom Fighters, leaders of Awami League (AL) and other political parties, heads of government departments and educational institutions, representatives of the socio-cultural, professional and voluntary organisations and law enforcement agencies officials took part in the meeting.

The celebration will begin through heralding 31 gun salutes at Police Lines ground and placing of wreaths at Central Shaheed Minar, Swadhinota Smriti Stambha `Arjan' and monuments of martyred freedom fighters in the city at zero hours on the day.
