ULAB, Mid-Western University of Nepal sign MoU

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) signed a MoU with Mid Western University (MWU) of Surkhet, Nepal on Tuesday, says a press release. Prof Upendra Kumar Koirala, vice-chancellor of MWU, Prof Imran Rahman, special advisor to the ULAB Board of Trustees, signed the agreement on behalf of the universities at the Chancellery of ULAB, Dhanmondi campus.

By signing the MoU, ULAB and MWU have agreed to initiate and strengthen educational links between the two institutions through educational and academic interchanges. These exchanges include-- faculty exchange, visiting Scholars between ULAB and MWU; short term student exchange programmes, summer/winter school programmes for students Prof Milan Kumar Bhattacharjee, Treasurer, ULAB; Prof Akhtar Ahmed, Registrar, ULAB; Prof Muhammad Ibrahim, Profssor & Head, General Education Programme; Dr Sazzad Hossain, Professor, CSE, ULAB and Abu Hena Md Rasel, Director, CSO, ULAB attended the signing ceremony.

JnU socialist students’ front gets new body

Kisore Kumar Sarkar and Golam Rabbi were elected as the president and general secretary respectively of Socialist Students’ Front (SSF) of Jagannath University (JnU) unit.

The 17-member body was announced at the 4th council of the unit on the JnU campus.

Other office-bearers are-- Vice-President- Prosenjit Sorker, Organizing Secretary- Somit Bhowmik, Office Secretary- Animash Roy, Finance Secretary- Dhiman Kundu, Publicity and Publication Secretary- Kaushik Ahmed, School Affairs Secretary- Tapu Sarwar, Library Affairs Secretary- Harun ur Rashid, Science Secretary- Shantna Kundu, Literary Affairs Secretary- Mozammel Haque Bablu, Social Affairs Secretary-- Shariful Islam, Sports Affairs Secretary- Soron Das. The other four executives are-- Tithi Chakraborty, Godhuli Ahmed, Sajal Rabi Das, Sajjad Hossain.
