‘Magic Box’ invited to Al-Nahj Int’l Film Festival

A Bangladeshi short film titled ‘Magic Box’ has been invited for participating at the fourth edition of Al-Nahj International Film Festival 2018. The event will be held from April 1 to 5 in Karbala, Iraq. The short film has been selected under the Short Narrative Film section. The story of ‘Magic Box’ revolves around the dreams and wants of different people living in the society who are divided into three categories which includes upper class, middle class and lower class. However, the path they lead on is completely identical and we call this journey of life.  And on this journey, a magical box appears in front of the three people of different classes and from their activities the audience realizes what their class’ dreams really represent. The short film has been produced by Skyplex Films in association with The Pencil and Roybox. The screenplay of the film is written by Ehsan Jim, who also directed the film. The cast of the film includes Pavel Biswas, Reaz Rahman and Sayeed Hasan.

On the other hand, another Bangladeshi short film ‘Bismoy Astonished’, scripted and directed by Md Abyed Hasan (Nirjhor), has also been selected in the same category as well. To note, Al-Nahj International Film Festival is an NGO and a film festival specializes with the short films (Narrative, Documentary, Animation) held by the Karbala satellite channel group in Iraq, established in 2014, its first term launched on March 25, 2015. The festival uses cinema as a tool to spread a humanitarian message whose mission is to create an environment where people live happily with mutual respect and love.
