Anti-drug campaign in media from today

State Minister for Information Tarana Halim yesterday said the Information Ministry would launch an anti-drug campaign from today through disseminating information in radio and television with a view to creating social awareness against the use of abusive drugs, reports BSS. The campaign featuring two television commercials titled “Love Your Life, Stay away from Drug” will be aired in all television channels and radio stations at 8:50 pm simultaneously from March 1, she added. The decision was taken at an inter ministry meeting at the information ministry with Tarana Halim in the chair, said a press release.

Tarana said the ministry would work hand in hand with law enforcement agencies and create awareness to prevent drug abuse across the country. Information Ministry Additional Secretary (broadcast) and Department of Narcotics Control Director will jointly work during the campaign, added the press release.
