‘Torun Uddoktar Ponno Mela’ starts

‘Torun Uddoktar Ponno Mela’ has started with young entrepreneurs in the initiative of Bangladesh Youth Enterprise Advice and Helpcentre (BYEAH) in front of this slogan ‘Employee will be the Employer’.

The three-day fair organised by BYEAH started yesterday and will continue till today at the Women Voluntary Association (WVA) auditorium located in the capital.   The fair will run from 10am to 8pm every day.

There are a total of 58 stalls in the fair, hand-made garments, herbal cosmetics, leather goods, food items, electronics products, gift items and various types of materials. Besides, young entrepreneurs have responded well to the Robot Games fair.

During the inauguration of the fair, BYEAH Founder Chairperson Abdul-Muyeed Chowdhury said that young people are coming forward for future young people can take initiative to develop SME industry and create employment.

He also said that such fair plays a special role for the youth to gain confidence in the young generation to help build a developed country by strengthening its future.

He thinks that this product fair will help young people to become job seekers. Alauddin Sohel, the head of the Okshopbd.com said, “We are working on education, security, gadgets, electronic and health items etc.”. In these two days we have received the expected results from such a fair.   

Nadia Jannat, owner of a boutique house and tailor ‘Tontubay’ said, “We are showcasing product design such as—block, tie dye, embroidery, sarees, with all ladies items in this fair”       

Director, International Affairs e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) President Razib Ahmed told The Independent that more startup companies should participate in this type of fair and BYEAH should organize this fair not only in Dhaka but also in the entire country.
