Verdict against 4 Noakhali war crimes accused any day

BSS

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) will pronounce judgment any day in crimes against humanity case against four alleged war criminals from Noakhali, reports BSS. “We are keeping the verdict on CAV (curia advisory vault), a Latin legal term meaning the court awaits verdict,” said Md. Shahinur Islam, chairman of the three-member of the ICT. The tribunal came up with the order as the prosecution and defence concluded arguments in the case yesterday. The four accused are Amir Ali, Md Joynal Abedin, Md Abdul Kuddus and Abul Kalam alias AKM Monsur. Of the four, Monsur is yet to be arrested. There was another accused in the case. But the accused Md Eusuf, 70, died of cardiac arrest on May 19, 2016, and his name was dropped from the case.
