People to resist BNP’s subversive activities: Nazrul

The minister called upon party leaders and workers to remain alert against the conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat, strengthening the activities of the party at grassroots level

State Minister for Water Resources Lt. Col. (Retd.) Muhammad Nazrul Islam, Bir Protik, said people of the country will resist any subversive activities by BNP this time centering national polls like last one, reports BSS.

He said a vested quarter is trying to create an unstable situation in the country when Bangladesh is rapidly progressing towards development under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The state minister was addressing the Triennial Conference of Narsingdi Town Awami Jubo League held on Narsingdi Poura Eidgah ground in the town on Saturday as the chief guest.

Nazrul asked Juba League leaders and activists to get ready for protecting all kind of sabotage by BNP on February 8 as the party is taking preparations to create anarchy in the country centering the court verdict against Khaleda Zia on the day.

He called upon party leaders and workers to remain alert against the conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat, strengthening the activities of the party at grass roots level.

He also urged all to cast their vote for Sheikh Hasina in the coming general elections.

General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League Harun-ur-Rashid, local MP Shirajul Islam Mollah, General Secretary of Narsingdi District Awami League and Chairman of Narsingdi Zilla Parishad Abdul Motin Bhuiyan, Mayor of Narsingdi Pourashava Kamrul Islam Kamrul, Organizing Secretaries of Bangladesh Awami Jubo league Bodiul Alam Bodi and Fazlul Hoque Atik addressed the conference as special guests.

President of Narsingdi District Awami Jubo League Bijoy Goshami inaugurated the conference with Convener of Narsingdi Town Awami Juba League Didrul Hoque Biplob in the chair.

In the conference, the town Jubo League committee was formed as Didarul Hoque Bhuiyan Biplob and Engineer Sohel Bhuiyan were elected as president and secretary respectively.
