BSS

FARIDPUR: Local Government, Rural Development (LGRD) and Cooperatives Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain urged BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia not to create anarchy centering the court verdict in Zia Orphanage Trust case scheduled to be announced on February 8, reports BSS.

The minister came up with the call while inaugurating different development projects of Krishnonagor Union in Faridpur at a function held on Krishonagar Govt. Primary School premises on Saturday afternoon.

He said “Khaleda threatened to create chaos in the country fearing the verdict in Zia Orphanage Trust case. But the present government has nothing to do in this regard because it has no interference on the court and the case was lodged during the caretaker government for misappropriating money of the orphans.”

The minister also said that the country now has reached the peak of the development under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Krishnonagar Union Awami League (AL) President Basharul Alam Badsha Mia presided over the function, addressed by, among others, District AL President advocate Subol Chandra Saha, Kotwali Thana AL President Abdur Razzak Molla, its secretary Samsul Alam, Town AL President Khandaker Nazmul Islam Levi.
