BSS

State Minister for Labour and Employment affairs Mujibul Haque yesterday said the government would take up new work plans to stop child labour in the country, reports BSS. "The government would initiate new work plans to stop hazardous child  labour in 2021 and to stop all kinds of child labour within 2025," he said. The minister was presiding over the 5th meeting of National Child Labour  Welfare Council (NCLWC) at a hotel in the capital, said a press release. He said the committees to stop child labour would be more active at  district and upazila levels. Officials of Department of Inspection of  Factories and Establishments would also be included in this regard. The child labour free upazilas would also be awarded from NCLWC.
