Sunil Narine, West Indian all-rounder of Dhaka Dynamites, on Monday said that the team spirit they have at the moment if they could maintain, it is obviously possible to lift the trophy.

Narine played so far nine out of their 11 matches, whereby he showed his dexterity with bat and ball. He scored 173 with two half-centuries and 9 wickets with the best of 3-10.

“I, from the first day, set target to lift the local trophy as a process of getting the game and win the match and play consistent cricket. So, I always play for winning the game,” said Sunil Narine, who is not a fresh blood in BPL as he played for Barisal Burners.

“I think I want to play great cricket and have a great team spirit. If we continue, I think, it is then possible to win the trophy,” Narine told reporters.

Sunil Narine, who is basically right-arm off-break, said that he always tries to perform what his team demand from him as a bowler or a batsman.

“Whatever the team required to meet I do. I just go and perform for the team. Hopefully I do performance and bring victory for the team,” the 29-year-old all-rounder said.

“I just think when you take a ball, I think, however you go about it when you begin to play exactly whatever we do it and this is the basis of it,” he added.

Though he is seen to perform with bat, he prefers much to perform with his cherry. The spin all-rounder played 259 T20 matches including 48 for the national colour and claimed 305 wickets with the best figures of 5-19.

“Yes, I prefer spin ball much than bat. Dhaka is the best for its spin attack. However the wicket is playable and try our best,” he vowed.

He said that the surface they have here in Dhaka is not a good one for this T20 tournament.

“I think, it’s not as great as the wicket for the T20. But another day is another cricket, every day will have not a flat wicket. So, I think, some day you have worked hard and some day it has much easier for you,” he said.

When asked about the wicket, that is discussed much since last few days, Dynamites opener said, “It’s a surprise, I think, in Dhaka. I spent more on that ground. So it’s something accustomed it’s something used to.”

“Hopefully I mean we have every chance to be second. I think we should have gone and focus on our game. I think it’s too long tournament,” he told in response to a query.
