Mahadi renders Kishore Kumar’s famous song ‘E Ki Holo’

After a long hiatus of nine years, talented singer Mahadi Faisal has lent his vocal to legendary musician Kishore Kumar’s famous sad song ‘E Ki Holo’, which was used in the film ‘Rajkumari’ under the direction of Salil Sen in 1967. The lyric of the song was written by Gouri Prasanna Majumdar, while its music arrangement was done by Rahul Dev Burman. Celebrating the golden jubilee of the song, popular band singer Partha Barua has done the music arrangement of the song in a new manner.

DhakaLive has news that Mahadi has already completed the recording of the song recently. He also participated in the shooting for the music video on the premises of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation in the capital on Saturday.

Mahadi said about singing the song, “With the inspiration from Partha Barua, I have sung the song. I have tried to sing the song as he asked me to sing just like Kishore Kumar. Now, the audience will judge the rest.”

The song will be available for the audience very soon, the singer informed.

To note, Mahadi Faisal secured the eighth position in the popular reality show ‘Closeup Tomakey Khujchey’ in 2005. He became famous with the rendition of popular song ‘Tumi Boruna Holey Hobo Ami Sunil’ in 2007. The song was tuned and composed by Prince Mahmud.

Then, Mahadi Faisal took a break from the music arena because of his inability to focus on singing due to professional responsibility in a multinational company. l
