Autofest 2017 brings car lovers under one roof

A 3-day automobile festival titled 'Autofest 2017' concluded on the BUET campus in capital on Saturday, which successfully brought together car enthusiasts under one roof.

The festival, held from November 30 - December 2, was organised by BUET's Automobile Club (BAC) and sponsored by Haval Group, Lenovo and other partners.

It consisted of various events such as quiz competitions, poster contests, seminars on cars, bike stunting exhibitions and more.

There was also a motor show for the audience in the fest as a daily attraction.

The students attending the seminar also got to know about employment prospects in the automobile industry.

"Our main aim is to bring all the automobile enthusiasts in one platform and inform them about the way of advance level and career opportunities in automobile sector in the country," said BAC President AK Roy Auritra.

He said there are many students who dream to become an automobile engineer and make a car from their childhood but do not find any specific

platform and have lack of knowledge about the subjects. Many students even do not know where the automobile engineering is taught except the polytechnic institutions.
