Saarc cultural, handicraft fests end

The four-day long SAARC exhibition and workshop on handicrafts and SAARC cultural festival on traditional dance ended yesterday at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), reports UNB. The closing ceremony of the programme was held at national theatre hall of the academy with a colorful cultural programme. Cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor was present as chief guest while director of the SAARC Cultural Centre Wasanthe Kotuwella attended in the ceremony as special guest. BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky presided over the closing ceremony of the two events. The Shilapkala Academy organised the programmes in association with the cultural affairs ministry of Bangladesh and SAARC cultural centre as part of the promotion of the culture and heritage of member countries. Earlier on November 30, cultural affairs secretary Ibrahim Hosein was present as chief guest while Director of the SAARC Cultural Centre Wasanthe Kotuwella attended as special guest.
