16 local bands performing at ‘Band Fest’ today

Channel i is holding the daylong ‘Channel i Band Fest 2017’ today for the fourth time. As many as 16 local bands around the country will participate at the event. The band festival will be kicked off at 10:30am on the Channel i premises at Tejgaon in the capital. Dhaka Live has news that the ‘Channel i Band Fest’ will begin with the performance of the hard rock band Metrical after the inauguration. With the performance of famous band LRB, the band festival will come to an end at 5pm.

The participating bands are Obscure,  Tirandaj, Joler Gaan, Different Touch, Metrical, Durbin, Spondon, Tarun, Stone, Setar, Sargam, Anari, Rong, Sustain, Hoichoi and LRB. A press conference held yesterday at the office of Channel i ahead of the Band Fest today. Channel i director and head of news Shykh Seraj and prominent band artiste and musician Ayub Bachchu addressed the reporters about the event.

Shykh Seraj said in welcome speech, “The success of the ‘Band Fest’ during the last three years is noteworthy. 60 million audiences of Channel i around the country are getting the chance to enjoy the country’s band music. As a result, people's interest in band music is increasing. Under the leadership of Ayub Bachchu, this is going to be held in more wide range than before”.
