‘Illegal billboard removal from Sept’

UNB

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader yesterday said all illegal billboards will be removed across the country from September, reports UNB. “We don’t want to see photographs of any terrorist and extortionist with Bangabandhu. Illegal billboards will be removed from September,” he said. The minister was speaking as the chief guest at a meeting at the Secretariat marking the 40th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.  Obaidul said many were attaching their photographs with that of Bangabandhu on the occasion of the National Mourning Day only to express themselves in the name of showing respects of the great leader. Describing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as a skilled administrator, he said the country would have progressed much had we engaged our efforts as she does.
