QUICK DISPOSAL OF CASES

CJ smells plot against ensuring dynamism

UNB

Observing that there is a smell of conspiracy against the judiciary’s dynamism in disposing of cases quickly, Chief Justice SK Sinha yesterday urged lawyers to stay alert against such conspiracy, reports UNB. “There’s a smell of conspiracy against the vibrancy of the judiciary in disposing of cases since I’ve taken over the charge. Remain alert against the plotters,” he told a reception accorded to him by Natore District Bar Association in the district at noon. Stressing the punctuality of lawyers, Sinha said if lawyers come to court in time and case proceedings begin timely every day it will be possible to dispose of 50 percent cases within a short time.  As there is no political instability in the country now, the Chief Justice said, the pending cases should be disposed of quickly. Chaired by Natore Bar Association president adv Ruhul Amin Talukdar, the programme was attended, among others, by Natore Deputy Commissioner Moshiur Rahman and District and Sessions Judge Lutfa Begum.
