Right-hand swashbuckling batsman Glenn Maxwell has said that he wishes to return to the Test side. Maxwell had seen how the Ashes unfolded and has said that he expects to get a call from the selectors for upcoming Test matches, reports cricket.com.au from Melbourne.
Maxwell’s Test record is not very great although he has played just 3 Tests. He has an average of 13 in his six innings in Tests. However, his ODI record is very impressive; in 49 matches he has an average of 35 with a strike rate of 126. At present he is playing county cricket in England. He also scored a fine 140 in a match. Some cricket experts including Fox Sports cricket expert Brendon Julian has urged the selectors to give a chance to Maxwell in future Test series.
