Nithor Mahbub admired for
playing unique character

Mime artiste and actor Nithor Mahbub, who has been working determinedly to promote mime art in the country over the last one and a half decades, has been admired for playing a unique role in an ongoing drama for the children titled ‘Tirgiri Takka’ on Duronto TV. His character in this drama Bazlu Choor, the leader of thieves, has earned positive feedback from the viewers. Besides, another unique role in the drama serial ‘Chapabaj’ on Boishakhi TV has also been admired by the audience. In this drama, he is playing a mute character--the personal secretary (PS) to Amitabh Bacchan.

Nithor Mahbub said about acting in two dramas, “I feel exceptionally wonderful when someone offers me to play an out of the box character. I have acted in the drama ‘Chapabaj’ as because the character of mute PS has been created thinking about me only. There is huge opportunity of playing with the character here. This is not that one has to act with dialogue always.”

“On the other hand, it was a challenge for me to play in the role of Bazlu Choor. I was inspired to overcome the challenge as the director kept faith in me. I want to play more challenging roles in the coming days, where I would be able to demonstrate my acting talent”, he added.

However, a solo mime show performed by Nithor Mahbub will be held at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital at 7pm on November 2.
