The tests for admission into medical colleges and dental colleges will be held on October 6 and November 10 respectively, reports UNB.

The decision was taken at a meeting on the admission into MBBS and BDS courses under the academic year of 2017-2018 held on Wednesday with Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim in the chair.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim yesterday directed the authorities concerned to close all medical admission coaching centers from September 1, reports BSS.

“Some coaching centres are deceiving students and guardians by making fake question papers...We should stop them now,” he said while speaking at a meeting on admission tests for MBBS and BDS courses for 2017-18 session at the meeting room of the Health Ministry here.

The minister urged the authorities concerned to take help from the law enforcement agencies to close the coaching centers in the greater interest of the students, said an official handout.

The meeting decided to hold the MBBS admission test for 2017-18 session on October 6 and BDS admission test on November 10.

Health Education and Family Planning Department Secretary Md Sirajul Islam, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Quamrul Islam Khan, Chittagong Medical University Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Ismail Khan, Director General of Directorate General of Health Services Dr Abul Kalam Azad, eminent columnist Syed Abul Maksud and other high officials were present in the meeting.
